There were still two vacancies on the Show Committee and it was decided to nominate Dr. A.H. Mullane for one, and the other vacancy to be given to a representative of the Blue Terriers, Mrs. O’Connor was welcomed as a member of the Committee.
A letter was read from the Irish Kennel Club stating that a certain lady was prepared to act as Judge for the Committee at the next show. They understood that had been made in England by some member of the Committee to get this lady to judge. The Secretary was instructed to write and inform Mr. Quirk ,secretary of the Kennel Club, that the Committee gave no authority to anyone to negotiate for a judge in England. And that the selection of Judges made by the Committee would be duly submitted to the Kennel Club. Note:- The person referred to above who carried on the negotiations was not a member of the Committee nor of the Society but an exhibitor.
On the motion of Miss. Patten ,seconded by Mrs. O’Connor ,it was decided to forward the following resolution to the Show Committee:-‘’That the Dog selection Committee wish to draw attention to the very inadequate catering at the last Summer Show and would suggest that enquires be set on foot with a view to finding a catering contractor capable of carrying out the work.
On the motion of Mrs. Fielding ,seconded by Mr. Shortt, a vote of condolence was passed to the relatives of Mr. A.H. Oliphant.
