The minutes of the last meeting were read & signed.
In connection with the removal of some trees in the Dog yard, which the Secretary was authorised to fell so as to make a clear site for the re-erection of the Fodder Store, the latter reported that the President , Capt. T.A Clarke ,had very kindly placed at the disposal of the Society, free of charge, five of his staff and a special apparatus for lifting trees out of their roots, the work being completed in a short space of time in the most satisfactory manner, and on the motion of Mr. A.H. Moore, seconded by Mr. T. O’Sullivan, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the President ,Capt. T.A. Clarke. The Committee then decided to visit the Grounds on Thursday, 4th December to inspect the various works carried out there during the past few months, and to decide what steps should be taken, if any, with regard to the erection of a building for housing the departments exhibit ,so as to give more covered space for light exhibits.
