Meeting of the Finance Committee held Saturday 20th September 1930.

The President Capt. T.A. Clarke in the chair also present Messrs. Wm. Roberts, T. O’Sullivan, E.J. Clarke, J. Henderson, M. Twomey, A.H. Moore, N. Hayes, W. Desmond, A. Morrison, Hon Secretary and J. Barrett.

The minutes of the last meeting were read & signed.

On the motion of Mr. Wm. Desmond seconded by Mr. J. Barrett the following cheques were recommended to the General Committee.

In connection with the recent visit of the Committee to the Showgrounds. It was decided to erect 10 stands down the Centre of the hall known as the South Hall. The stands to be 14’ long 4’ wide same to be built by the Socy’s workmen and to be hired out to each exhibitor the Socy to supply + letter signs +charge the exhibitor  an inclusive rent to cover the cost. These stands to be of such a height  as not to interfere with the other stand holders .The secretary was instructed to carry out the above for next year’s summer show .He was further directed to re-erect the fodder store & 12 Box Stalls in the South East corner of the Dog Yard & to put a concrete dwarf wall 18’’ high around the Fodder store & Box Stalls . On the motion of Mr. E.J. Clarke  seconded by Mr. Wm. Roberts.


 In connection with the Poultry kept by the Caretaker of the showgrounds which are at present housed where the site of fodder store is going to be re-erected it was agreed that the Caretaker  be allowed keep the Poultry providing the Secretary could fine  alternative accommodation for then.
