Meeting of the Dog Show Committee held on Tuesday, 12th May, 1931.
Mr. L. Dobbin  in the chair, also present  Mrs.  O’Connor, Miss Patten , Mr.  A.H. Short, and Dr.  A.F.M.  Mullane.

The minutes of the last meeting were read  and signed.

A letter was read from  the Pekingese  Association  stating  they could  not see  their  way to  guarantee  all the  classification  and provide  a Judge , but, that the Association  would offer their Cups. The Secretary  reported  that the  Association would offer their Cups.  The secretary  reported  an interview he had with  one of the members  of this Association  who suggested  that the Association  should be written to  again ,pointing  out that  we had  got two  guarantees  an asking  if they  would guarantee  4 other  classes, also to provide  a Judge  free of charge  to the Society. The  Secretary  was directed to write accordingly to the Pekingese Association.

A letter  was read  from Col. McLoughlin , Hon. Secretary of the Blue Terrier  Association  stating  that his  Committee  could not see  their way to guarantee  all the classes in this section but, that they would be prepared to  guarantee  50% of the loss, and provide  a Judge .He also stated that  English Judges  were not  acceptable  to most of the fanciers. The Secretary  was directed  to write  and thank Col. McLoughlin for his kind offer , and inform him that the Committee  were prepared to pay 50% of the Judges’  expenses if the club would  guarantee all the classes. This has  been  done  in the case of  the Alsatian or German Shepherd Dogs  for a number  of years. A letter  was read from David  Condon, of  Clonmel, stating  would be  prepared  to guarantee  a Bedlington Dog Class  and it was died to  schedule  this class  and the Secretary  was directed  to write  and  thank  Mr. Condon.

 A letter was  read from Mr. Sean  Eyed, M.R..C.V.S ,  stating  he would be  prepared  to act  as Vet.  Surgeon  in the Dog  section at the fee stated , viz:-  A. Guineas.  The Secretary was directed  to write the following  and ask  clubs, and repeat  all those  whom  we had  written to ,ask them for guarantees:-  T.PLenihan,Mrs.  Cronin, Mrs.  Town send, Fox Terroir,        Clubs, and to repeat  all those whom we had  written to , asking them for  a reply  in connection with guarantee.

A letter  was read  from Col.  Adey- Curran, Hon. Secretary  Irish  Cami Terrier Club, stating  that his Club  would present  17 special  prizes ,  including  8 Cups, to be offered  on certain  conditions .They  would also  guarantee  6 classes Viz:-  2 Graduate and  2 limit  both sexes  and  the Secretary  was directed  to tender  the best thanks  of the Committee  to  the Irish  cairn  Terrier Club . In connection  with the  hour of the  Meeting  it was agreed  after  some discussion, to have  the same  hour as  heretofore , viz:- 4-30p.m
