The minutes of the  last meeting  were read  & signed.

In connection with the Judge  for the Children’s  classes  it was decided  to invite  Mrs.  T.A. Clarke  to judge same.

Meeting of the General Committee held Saturday, November 21st, 1931. The President Capt.  T.A. Clarke in the Chair also present Miss. M.E. Gubbins, Prof. Boyle, Comm. Hodder, Major Morgan, Messrs. W. Roberts, T. O’Sullivan, N. Hayes, T.G. Hayes, J. Henderson, T. McGrath, J. Stanley junr., A.H. Moore, M. Twomey, P. Crowley, J. Horgan, G. Logan junr., T.J. Spillane, H. Twomey, W. Desmond, P.J. Good, A. Mullins, D. Ross, J. Daly V.S., C.V. Good, J. Goold, E. Wall, D. O’Connor, D. Cronin, and A. Morrison, Hon. Secretary.

The minutes of the last meeting  were read  and signed.

 

Arising out of the reading of the minutes  of the Finance Committee  of the  7th November, re-engagement  of the Buses O’  the  Bam  Band for the  two days  of the  Show next  year .

After some discussion on the matter Mr.  F.G. Hayes proposed that  this Committee  endorse the action  of the  Finance Committee  in  engaging  the band  in question  seconded  by Mr. J. Stanley junr.

 Mr. P. Crowley  moved as an  amendment  that the  question  of engaging    the above-mentioned  band be deferred  until  it was ascertained  whether vol 1  or vol 2  army band  could  be secured . This was  second  by Mr. Mullins.

The President  Capt.  Clarke  stated that  a reply  had already  been  received  from the No  1  army band  which stated  that  the adjutant General  while anxious  to facilitate the Committee he is not prepared.
