Meeting of the  Horticultural Committee held on  Saturday, 21st  November, 1931.
The President  Capt.  T.A. Clarke, in the  chair, also present  Mrs.  J.B. Tuckey, Mrs.  S.H. Dring, Mrs.  T.A. Clarke ,  Messrs.  P. Crowley  and W. Roberts.

Meeting of the  Horticultural Committee held on  Saturday, 21st  November, 1931. The President  Capt.  T.A. Clarke, in the  chair, also present  Mrs.  J.B. Tuckey, Mrs.  S.H. Dring, Mrs.  T.A. Clarke ,  Messrs.  P.Crowley  and W.Roberts.

The minutes of the  last meeting were read & signed.

The 1932  Prize  list for this section  of the Show  was taken  up, and the  following  alterations  were made:-  Sweet Pea, in classes  3 and 4  it was decided  that there should be 9 sprays  in each  class  instead  of 12.  A new  class  was added  for the best  arranged  Basket  of sweet  Pea,  blooms  and foliage  need not be grown  by  Exhibitor , the prizes  to be  10/,7/, and 3/. Roses – Roses to  be shown  on boards  15’’×9’’ , and  the words  H.J  and  on  H.P  to be added  to the  existing  class of Six  distinct  kinds. A new class  was added  for  a Basket  of Roses  need not  be grown  by Exhibition , prizes  10/= ,7/=, 3/= . ‘’Hardy  but  Flowers ‘’, in  the class  for Perennials  it was  agreed  that it  should read  as follows:-‘’Four vases  in four  distinct  kinds ,bulbous  and tuberous rooted  plants  permitted’ ’Violas –to be  Shown  on boards .Pot plants ,the following classes were  added:- ‘’ Three foliage  Pot Plants  one or more kinds, in not less than 6’’ and  not  more than 9’’ pot; 10/==,7/=,  & 3/=,’’Three  flowering  Pot plants , one or  more kinds ,in not less than 6’’  and not more than 9’’ Pot.  Hydrangeas:-  ‘’Three  Pots of Hydrangeas, three kinds, in not less than  6’’  and not  more than 9’’ pot.

 Consideration  of the  balance  of the classification  was deferred  until 28th  November.
