The minutes of  the last meeting  were read  and signed.

 A letter was read  from  Mr.  M.J. Cussen ,Secretary of the Cork Farmer’s Union  Aberration ,stating  that his Company were  prepared  to  present  a Cup  for the best  pair of Baconer  suitable  for the  Birmingham  market, and confined  to paid up members of the  Union,  shareholders  of the aberration. It was decided to put on the class as requested by Mr. Cussen, and the  Secretary  was directed  to tender  the best thanks  of the Society  to the Directors of the Company. Using out of this , the Secretary  stated that  he had received  a verbal  appreciation  to have  a money prize  offered  in this  Class also , and , after some discussion , it was decided ,on the motion  of Mr. Twomey  seconded by Mr. Ross, to offer £5  in prizes.

A letter  was read  from Mr. Millen  of  Ayrline ,stating  that he  would give  a demonstration  with his sheep ,Dogs at our Summer Show at  an inclusive  fee of £26, and it was agreed to accept  Mr. Millen’s offer.

It was decided  on the  motion of  Mr. A.H. Moore, seconded  by Mr.  M. Twomey ,that  additional  space  be given  in the main  Hall  to the Horticultural section.

It was  further decided  to  embody in the Rules  & Regulations  of  the forthcoming  Summer  Show Rules  2 and 3 of the Royal  Dublin  Society’s Rules  & Regulations  governing Judges  and Stewards.Mr.  J.J.Ryan  of Scarteen ,  Mr.  H.A.J. Ryle and Miss  Spratt reed to act as  Judges  at the forthcoming  Summer Show.
