The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.
Letters were read from Mr. John Wallace of Anticur ,Dunloy, Co. Antrim, accepting the Committee’s invitation to judge Shorthorns and Dairy Cattle and from Col. F.D. Alexander consenting to judge Hunters at the forthcoming Summer Show.
The Secretary submitted a map of the Show grounds, as drawn by Mr. Jas T.Mc. Mullen and the new building that is going to be erected , Box Stalls, Poultry and Auction Hall, new roads i.e. were named for the convenience of the exhibitors and public.
Mr. M.Phelan, of Messrs. Marsh & Sons ,appeared before the Committee with reference to the forthcoming Spring Show Sale. The Committee then discussed with Mr. Phelan the arrangements in connection with the letter, particularly the dispatch of the bulls.Mr.Phelan informed the Committee that he had appointed a special man to look after bulls going to the Railway and hoped that at various times during the day of the Sale bulls would be dispatched to the Railway where Train arrangements would suit ,instead of sending them altogether ,as heretofore. This was considered satisfactory by the Committee, and Mr. Phelan was thanked for his attendance.
The Secretary reported that the sub-committee had decided on the lay-out of the auction hall and gave a brief outline of same. Which was approved of.
