Meeting of the Horticultural Committee held on 23rd April, 1932. The President, Capt. T.A. Clarke, in the chair, also present Mrs. Tuckey, Mrs. Dring, Mrs. T.A. Clarke, and P. Crowley.
Meeting of the Dog Show Committee held on Thursday, 28th April, 1932. Mr. L. Dobbin in the chair also present Mrs. C.H. Fielding, Dr. A.F.M. Mullane, and Mr. A.H. Shortt.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.
A letter was read from the Blue Terrier Club ,stating they would be prepared to guarantee a number of classes in Blue Terriers, provided we put on two classes, and would accept the Judge nominated by the Kerry Blue Terrier Club and Dublin Blue Terrier club. After some discussion ,it was decided that the Secretary should write and thank Dr. Pierse ,Hon. Secretary of the first mentioned Club and inform him that we would be only too pleased to carry out the suggestion, as made in his letter. A letter was read from Mrs. Parker –Keene ,stating that she would be prepared to guarantee two classes for mastiffs if the Committee could see their way to guarantee two classes .She further stated that , on behalf of the Non-classed Canine Club ,they would guarantee the’ ’Limit Dog or Bitch’’ in ‘’any Variety ,non-classed’’ .The Secretary was instructed to write and thank Mrs. Parker –Keene , and inform her that they were instructed to write and thank Mrs. Parker –Keene , and inform her that they were of opinion four classes for Mastiffs would not fill and regretted they could not see their way to put on the classification except it was guaranteed. The offer of the guarantee for the Any Variety Non—Classed was accepted with thanks . Mr. W. Nyhan was appointed Veterinary Surgeon in the Dog section of the forthcoming show .Mrs. Fielding stated that she was prepared to offer a silver cup to be won three times with different exhibits , and confined to the members of Agricultural Society . The best thanks of the meeting were passed to Mrs. Fielding for her generous offer.
On the motion of Mr. Shortt, seconded by Dr. Mullane ,a vote of condolence was passed to the relatives of Mr. McCartie and also to Miss Patten . It was decided that a meeting of the committee be held in the Show Grounds on Monday ,2nd May, at 7pm

In connection with the Judges for the forthcoming Summer Show, the Secretary was instructed to write, on the motion of Mr. P. Crowley, seconded by Mrs. Dring, to Mr. Cleary, Horticultural Instructor, Mallow, asking him to judge, and also Mr. Dearnaley, Inspector of Horticulture, Cork, and to ask the latter to send four names so that two may be selected from same, to assist him in the judging.
