Founded in 1805, the Munster Agricultural Society has remained steadfast in its mission to promote agriculture, industry, and science. Guided by these enduring objectives, the Society is proud to be an apolitical and non-denominational organization that welcomes all who share its vision.
Over the centuries, the Society has played a pivotal role in Cork’s community life. From its roots in Ballintemple (1892–2008) to its modern home in Curraheen since 2012, the Society has adapted to changing times while preserving its rich heritage. The current showgrounds at Curraheen are central to exciting plans for the development of community, sport, education, and recreation facilities, ensuring the Society continues to contribute to Cork’s future.
A Tradition of Events and Excellence
The Munster Agricultural Society proudly hosts the iconic Cork Summer Show, one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running agricultural shows, alongside many other society-led events that celebrate community, innovation, and culture.
