Read letter from 22nd and 24th. Sept, from royal agricultural society of Ireland, with reference to guarantee if required in connection with the holding of Royal Show in 1887. Also read letter of 30th Sept, with refernce to particulars from Royal Show held in Limerick in 1883. From the correspondence it approved that a fund of £2000 would be necessary to meet the guarantee and carry out the show. The subject having been discussed it was on the motion of W.R Meade seconded by J Garde.

Decided, not to further consider the idea of permitting the Royal Agricultural Society to hold their show in Cork in 1887.

Read letter of 14th, Sept, from Cork exchange, with reference to proposed rent to be changed the society for premises required by them. It was decided to wait on the matter and request them not to consider the question for the present as the funds of the society were very limited at present.

Read letter from 29th of Sept, from the Irish Pure Butter Association, a copy of the rules, and soliciting from the society. It was decided not to as the funds at the committee were not adequate. Resolutions that it is expected that the society acts apart a fund of £20 and report on the system of Butter making and winter dairying as practiced, and that a small committee be appointed for the purpose of carrying out this subject.

The subject having been discussed, it was decided on the proposal to hold back the resolutions as a notive of motion until monthly meeting.
