Colonel Heard stated, on behalf was attended from the society at the conference held at Ballsbridge, of the limited Irish Cattle trade association, that various suggestions had been made with respect to the best manner of improving the breed of cattle throughout the country, and that he had suggested the advisability of the association supplying bulls and placing them in charge of a person who would care for them properly and they were looked after. It was a result of the conference to appoint a committee to consider the suggestions made and bring up a report for them.
The motion having called attention to the advertisements from the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland stating that the council were prepared to recieve proposals from societies for the holding of the Society show in 1887. It was proposed by W.H Navy, seconded by Mr Hayes and agreed that the consideration of the subject be discussed at the monthly meeting, the society to obtain partitions to the agreement.
