Read letter from Professor Hart thanking the committee for his reappointment as seed analyst for the coming year also mentioning list of those who had sent in samples for analysis which comprised in all 33 samples.
Read Mr. Thompkins analysis of pumpkin seeds.
Raed letter from the secretary to the members of the corn exchange pointing out that the rest of £20 was due by the society, for the use of the market premises during the year, and requesting that the amount should be settled without delay, after some discussion the secretary was desired to inform the trustees that the rest which the society agreed to pay was £10 per annum, not £20 as quoted but that they were not in a position to settle the amount as present.
Mr. Meade as one of the sub-committee appointed to consider the advisability of holding a spring show for Bulls stated that the committee were of the opinion that it was most desirable that the show should be held and that they considered that Thursday 29th March would be the best day for it, the prizes they would recommend would be for Bulls; 1st £10, 2nd £4, and 3rd £1, for two year olds, 1st £5, 2nd £3, after some discussion the report of the sub-committee was adopted and the names of Mr. Bird and Mr. Warren were added to the sub-committee.
The advisability of the spring prizes for in-calf Bulls was under consideration and after some discussion approved.
