The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. 

On the motion of Col. Sullivan seconded by Mr. Gallaway, the following resolution was unanimously adopted. ''That this being the first general meeting of the Co. Cork Agricultural Society since the death of Mr. Barry we the members of the society desire to record our notice of the great loss our society has sustained thereby and we request our secretary to convey to Mr. Barry and family our warm sympathy with them in their bereavement. 

Mr. Jones, Wood Leap, was elected member of the society. 

The following gentlemen were proposed and seconded as members. Mr. Oswald, prop. by Mr. Garfit, secd. by J. Donovon, Mr. Gobhins, prop. by J. Donovon, secd. by Mr. Roberts, J. Bowles, prop. by J. Donovon, secd. by W.H Gallaway, Major General H. Davies, prop. by Col. Sullivan, secd. by Mr. Meade. 

The secretary announced that he had advertised for funds for the show yard, the only response which it received was from Mr. O'Mahony, who proposed to erect the halls for horses for 9/9 for shall Misses O'Flynn having only charged 5/5 and 6/6 for the same work it was decided on the motion of Mr. Beamish, secd. by Mr. Gallaway that they should get the contract as usual. 

Mr. Meade announced the decision to the judges appointed to select the Bulls for premiums, since being awarded to Bulls the property of the following gentlemen the Bulls to stand in their own stalls, Mr. Cash, Bandon, Mr. Griffin, Shanballymore, Mr. Newman, Lismore, and Mr. Henderson.
