Meeting of the General Committee dated September 7th, 1889, with the President in the Chair

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr. James and Howe, Killbritain, having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society were elected as members.
Read letter from the Royal Dublin Society requesting that the committee should name three gentlemen to assist the judge appointed by that society in selecting the premium stallions the following gentlemen having been suggested by the Royal Society were elected, Mr. Hare,of Gubbins.
Mr. Donovon seconded by Mr. J Ahern moved that the services of the Veterinary Surgeon to the society be dispensed with after considerable discussion Mr. Donovon's motion was rejected by 14 votes to 10.
It was decided to charge £6 entrance money for Show, Mr. Donovon, Mr. Knowles, Mr. Warren, Capt. Woodley and Major Shopford.
