The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Read letter from the Hunters Improvement society, giving conditions for their premium.
Read letter from Secretary of the Corn exchange granting the use of the yard for the annual show to be held in July, on the motion of Mr. H Reed and seconded by Mr. Love, a vote of thanks was unanimously passed to the trustees for granting the society the use of their board room and premises.
The president called the attention of the society to the very low price of pigs which in his mind was no warranted by the price of bacon.
Capt. Newenham proposed by Mr. R Newman the following resolution which was unanimously adopted, ''that a scheme for planting forest timber in Ireland be recommended to the government as suggested by Mr. Balfour.
Mr. R. Good drew attention to the outbreak of flanders in the district.
On the motion of Mr. W.R Meade seconded by Mr. A Ferguson, it was decided that following the usual custom there be no meeting of the committee until the first week of February.
