The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr. Michael McCarthy, having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society was elected member.
Sir John Pope and Mr. A.J Sharman Crawford, were proposed by Mr. R.A Beamish and seconded by Col. Heard as members of the society.
Professor Hart, read his report and on the motion of Mr. Meade, seconded by Col. Sullivan, the thanks of the meeting were given to him, the consideration of his reappointment for the coming year was adjourned until next meeting.
Read letter from the Royal Dublin society stating that they had determined to act independently in the Railway Rates inquiry and that they would be happy to have the co-operation of the society in the matter.
The president read letter from Col. Sullivan suggesting that the society should take some action with reference to the dead meet question, about which Mr. Tallerman was interesting himself after some discussion the secretary was directed to communicate with Mr. Tallerman.
On the motion of Mr. Meade it was decided to hold the Annual show on Wednesday and Thursday, 9th and 10th of July, and a deputation consisting of the following gentlemen were requested to wait on the committee of the Corn Exchange to-ask for the use of the yard, Mr. Donovon, Mr. Ahern, Mr. Jones.
