The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. 

Sir. John Pope Hennessy and A.J Crawford having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society were elected members. The following gentlemen were proposed as members, W.D Parker, John F Healy, proposed by Mr. Meade and seconded by Mayor Shopford. 

Read letter D. Tallerman, with reference to the dead meet question.

Read letter from secretary of Corn Market trustees stating that in future the society could not use any portion of their premises and that the trustees could not fine the use of the market to hold the show in. On the motion of Mr. Meade, seconded by Mr. Ahern, it was resolved that the secretary should make a formal application to the trustees for the use of the market. 

The appointment of Professor Hart as seed analyst for the coming year was then considered when the proposition of Mr. R.A Beamish, and seconded by Col. Sullivan that he be reappointed was rejected by 11 votes to 7.  

On the motion of Mr. Meade, it was decided that the Annual General Meeting of the society be held on Saturday the 22nd.

The following gentlemen were nominated to fill the places of the 8 retiring members of the committee, Mrs. French, Capt Newenham, Mr. Donnell, Mr. Davies, Mr. Turney, Stephen Graham, W. Donegan, H. Good, Col. Heard, P.J Gallaway, the committtee then adjourned until Saturday the 8th next.
