The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. 

Read letter from secretary, Corn exchange, stating that the use of the yard had been granted to the show committee of last year and General committee of this year, and enclosing at the same time the printed list of the officers of the society with a line drawn round the elected committee, after some discussion it was on the motion of Mr. Meade - resolved - that the after of the trustees be accepted with thanks and that they be informed that by the rules of the society the ex-president and vice-president are ex-officer members of the general committee. 

Read letter from the Royal Dublin Society, stating that the 16th of April had been fixed for the Railway rate inquiry in Dublin, but that it was purposed to hold a conference at Balls Bridge during the cattle show in Easter Week, and asking that the society should name representatives, not exceeding two, to represent them at the conference and to give replies to the inquiry. 

The following gentlemen having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society were elected members Mr. Healy and Mr. Parker, and Lord Carbery. 

The following were proposed and seconded as members of the society, Mr. French, proposed by A.J Foster, seconded by Col. Sullivan, Major Shackwick, Aghada, proposed by R.D Hare and seconded by J. Donovon.
