Meeting of the General Committee dated August 1st, 1891, with Colonel Shudham in the Chair

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. 

The following gentlemen having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society were elected members Nate Hayes, M.D Garde, J. Rice, W.H Bible, J. Cronin. 

The following were proposed for membership, General Bowles, proposed by Col. Sullivan, seconded by W.R Meade, Hon. Alexis Roche, Old Court Domeraile, proposed by Capt. Woodley, seconded by Col. Sullivan, William Stawell, proposed by Capt. Woodley, seconded by Col. Sullivan, William Waketam, Waterrock, Midleton, proposed by J. Ahern, seconded by J. Byrne, Thomas Maher, Bandon, proposed by Capt. Woodley, seconded by J. Byrne.

Secretary Read statement of show account showing a balance of £200 after paying all expenses. 

Mr. Byrne proposed and Capt. Newenham seconded that the following gentlemen be directed to ascertain the views of the corporation with regard to a lease of 20 acres, of the park for the purpose of erecting a permanent show yard, General Davies, seconded by Sir. G. Lothurst, A. Ferguson, J. Ahern, L.A Beamish, S. Longfield, J. Byrne, A.G Warren, with power to add to their number.
