The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

The recommendation of the show committee that the military should get the use of the grounds for £40 was on the motion of Mr. W.H Beamish, seconded by J.A Love and adopted.
Read letter from Mr. Webber asking for the usual passes for the corn market trustees after some discussion it was decided not to give same and the secretary was directed to write and inform the trustees that the committee regretted that a resolution passed out at a former meeting of the society precluded them from giving any free tickets.
Mr. Byrne read his report awarding the prizes in the competition for the best managed gardens. Mr. Thomas Walsh, Kinsale, was awarded £2 first prize for garden containing the greatest variety of crops and £1 for the best crop of any description of fruit.
Mr. James Barry, Kinsale, was awarded £1 for the best crop of Early potatoes.
On the motion of Mr. W.H Beamish, seconded by Mr. French, a vote of thanks was unanimously passed to Mr. Byrne.
Mr. Bass read the agreement which it was proposed the society should enter into with the corporation for supplying water to the show yard, was passed.
