Meeting of the Finance Committee held Saturday, Dec. 21st, 1929. Mr. Wm. Roberts in the chair also present Messrs J. O’Sullivan, Wm. Desmond, A.H. Moore, J. Henderson, M. Twomey & A. Morison Hon. Secretary
If necessary, we would attend your meeting and discuss the matter & help to arrive at a satisfactory arrangement.
After some discussion Mr. O’Sullivan proposed that permission be granted to Messrs Marsh & Sons to hold these sale under the auspices of the Society & the details etc. be left in the hands of the President & the Secretary seconded by Mr. J. Daly & passed.
The Secretary was instructed to prepare an estimate for the erection of Poultry Hall 50’+ 50’ 12’ to the eaves.

The minutes of the last meeting were read & signed.
On the motion of Mr. John Henderson seconded by M. Twomey the following cheques were recommended for payment
J. Byrne Salary £22=10=0 J.F. Woods 2.13
Wages 20=0=0 J. Houston 15.36
Petty Cash 25=0=0 D. Murphy 8=13=3
Fire Insurance £5. 2. 0
The Secretary was instructed to write to the Southern Greyhound & Sports Coy Ltd. requesting immediate payment of the rent due by John J. Fagan on the 1st Oct. Last viz. £162.10.0 & the amount spent of the re- building of the double & single banks etc. at the grounds for which the Greyhound Coy accepted liability. The Secretary was further directed to inform them that the President Capt.
Clarke reported the result of his interview with certain Directors of the Company but my Committee is of opinion that nothing has been brought forwarded to alter their previous discussion & must insist in the conditions laid down being complied with.
On the motion of Mr. O’Sullivan seconded by Mr. W. Desmond it was decided to capitalise the amounts spent on the erection of Box Stalls & the new Hall-way leading from the North Western end of the main buildings to the shed know as the shop shed.
It was decided to close the offices & Yard early on the 24th Dec & 25th,26th ,27th all together being exmas (Christmas) holidays.

A letter was read from Mr. Robert Hall stating he regretted he could not accept the Committee’s invitation to judge short-horns at the Spring show and sale. Mr. O’Sullivan proposed seconded by Mr. Twomey it was decided to ask Mr. Wm. Mitchell of Ballymore Eustace Co. Kildare to judge Short-horns.
