Meeting of the General  Committee held on Saturday, 17th August, 1935, Mr. N Hayes in the chair, also present Miss Montgomery, Miss Gubbins, Professor Boyle, Ald. W. Desmond, T.D., Messrs L. GENERAL COMMITTEE     Meeting of the General  Committee held on Saturday, 17th August, 1935, Mr. N Hayes in the chair, also present Miss Montgomery, Miss Gubbins, Professor Boyle, Ald. W. Desmond, T.D., Messrs L. Dobbin,  Junr., D. Ross, F.G. Hayes, J. Henderson, E.J. Clarke, C.V. Good, R.H. Dring, J. Sheedy, A.H. Moore, A.H. Good, M.A., P. Crowley, P.J. Good.

                                               

The Minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.

The Secretary read the following letter from Mr. E.A. Barrett, Ringlee, Rushbrooke, and was instructed to insert  same in the Minutes:-  on the motion of Ald. W. Desmond, seconded by Mr.  N. Hayes  -

DEPUTATION FROM          On the motion of Mr. Twomey, seconded by Mr. Clarke

GREYHOUND                       the Secretary was instructed to inform the Greyhound

COMPANY                            Co. that the Committee would be prepared to meet a deputation from the Greyhound Company, with a view to discussing the question of the rent with them, and Saturday, 10th August, was fixed as being the most suitable day.

 

CHEQUES                              On the motion of Mr. P.J. Good, seconded by Mr. P. Crowley, the following cheques were passed:-

 

                                                W.J. Hickey £21;  Cork Gas Company   £7:16:4; Telephone £12:13:4; Cork Corporation £4:11:10.

 

VOTE OF CONDOLENCE    On the motion of Mr. N. Hayes, seconded by Ald. W. Desmond, votes of condolence were passed to the relatives of Mr. E. Goold, of Crookstown, and the relatives of Mr. E.S. O’Grady, Little Island.  The Members rose while the votes of condolence were being passed, and the Meeting then adjourned.
